Exchange Programmes India
GSE works with schools across United Kingdom, Europe, India, Japan, China and beyond to deliver transformative educational exchange programmes, which promote collaboration, partnerships and global citizenship. In India, we partner with CBSE, CISCE, CIE (IGCSE and A-levels) and State boards.
Our network includes educational establishments, including academies, schools, colleges and autonomous high schools. Inter-cultural collaboration is a catalyst for leading change, preparing the next generation for personal and professional success within our global community.
Our Programmes
School Exchange Project
This programme serves as a stepping stone for schools to promote transnational education and integrate a globally-relevant curriculum, fit for the 21st century. Through project-based collaboration between schools in different countries, our programmes foster meaningful, cross-cultural learning experiences that support internationalisation in education.
Each project can be aligned with a unit of the school’s curriculum, or a completely new topic. The interdisciplinary approach to the topic provides students with an in-depth understanding and highlights its practical relevance.
Our School Exchange Programmes will address two sets of learning outcomes –
i) Conceptual learning (knowledge-based)
ii) Skills-based (instrumental for future employability).
Programme Duration: 2 weeks, Format: Hybrid
Student Buddy Programme
Under the Student Buddy Programme, each visiting student is paired with a host student and follows their buddy’s classes and activities throughout the school week.
This offers genuine insights into the host student’s daily life, friendships, and academic subjects, while encouraging a supportive environment where both students can learn from each other.
Programme Duration: 1.5 – 2 weeks, Format: In person
Immersion Programme
The School Immersion Programme facilitates visits for students to UK schools, offering a unique opportunity to experience British education and culture firsthand. These visits foster excitement
and cultural exchange, allowing students to enhance their teamwork, communication, and language skills while earning to be welcoming and inclusive.
The programme includes cultural workshops, joint project days, and tailored activities to meet specific educational objectives.
Students participate in classes, attend lectures, and visit
historical landmarks relevant to British heritage. This experience
helps them gain confidence, develop communication skills, and broaden their understanding of global curriculums.

Online Programmes
In an era of rapid globalisation, two crucial factors have become paramount in school education: “internationalisation” and “local awareness”.
Global School Exchanges in collaboration with The Pomegranate Workshop has launched its virtual exchange programme between schools across the globe.
In our live international classrooms, students from across continents straddle the local and global sphere simultaneously.
Global Classrooms, Limitless Learning
Our live classrooms immerse students in a culturally diverse environment, fostering cross–border learning on globally relevant topics presented by Subject Matter Experts. The programme equally provides diverse skill–building opportunities in mediums such as filmmaking, fiction writing, and graphic narratives. The International Virtual Classroom offers topics that weave experiential learning into key thematic areas of the school curriculum.
In just five one–hour online sessions, students experience a transformative international education that equips them with essential problem–solving and teamwork skills, shaping them into global citizens.
Each live classroom is led by an Anchor Facilitator, supported by a Subject Matter Expert. The Anchor Facilitator’s role is to guide the live sessions, encourage student interaction and engagement, and help develop essential skills like leadership, teamwork, and collaboration. The Subject Matter Experts focus on cultivating specific skills related to the chosen module and project. Between live sessions, students work on their projects both individually and in groups.
