Discover New Cultures Enhance Language Skills Share Ideas Travel

Since 2011, Global School Exchanges have encouraged pupils, teachers & school leaders to step outside of their comfort zone, discover new cultures, enhance their language skills, and celebrate what we can learn from each other. GSE works with schools in the UK, China, India, Europe and beyond to deliver in-person and online educational exchange programmes. Our fully-funded overseas educator conferences and school visit opportunities enable school leaders and teachers to travel, share ideas and to gain a global perspective for their work. We’re passionate about removing barriers to internationalisation, and do not charge any fees. By participating, your school will receive funding credits to spend on school trips, online programmes and teacher CPD. GSE believes that cultural exchange is a catalyst for leading change in our increasingly globalised world. We look forward to learning your school’s objectives.

It has been such an honour to go over to China and see the amazing Schools. We some some fantastic facilities and we have been able to learn from and develop our after school provision as a result of this trip.

We’re not just teaching languages, we’re teaching about other cultures…facilitating people from different backgrounds being able to talk to each other and spend time with one another, breaking down stereotypes and cultural barriers…

Simon Floyd, Head of MFL

Our students and school benefited by experiencing another culture, leadership opportunities for those who acted as buddies, and allowing reflection on our own teaching practices.

Ella Capaldi Head of School, Park Community School

The programme was a brilliant experience for all involved. Our celebration and farewell event was just stunning and emotional. The Chinese students also led an assembly to 4 different year groups which was excellent - this was on the Chinese New Year.

Julie Summerfield Headteacher, Horndean Technology College

Our pupils benefitted by engaging fully in cultural exchange - pupils gained new friendships and further developed their cultural understandings.
