Young leaders.
Shared perspectives.
King’s Academy Prospect & King’s Academy Binfield
23–29 November 2025 · Le Havre & Dieppe
A week in Normandy brought students from two King’s Academies into an international setting for learning and exchange. Their destination was the Normandy International Youth Leadership Summit (NIYLS) in Le Havre, with time to explore Dieppe along the way.
LEARNING TOGETHER
An international meeting place.
From Monday to Friday, the delegation joined the summit at Institution Saint-Joseph in Le Havre. The programme placed young people together in a shared school setting, making space for new conversations and different perspectives.
The trip photographs capture the experience at ground level: students gathering beneath national flags, taking part in group activities and sharing aspects of their cultures. Informal moments between sessions were part of the experience too.
SHARING CULTURES
Something to share.
Someone new to meet.
Flags, food and cultural displays gave participants a starting point for conversation. These photographs show students representing their countries, exploring each other’s displays and spending time together at the summit.
SEE THE EXPERIENCE
A moment from the summit.
Culture comes to life.

Confidence through connection.
Feedback from the two participating schools highlighted how much students enjoyed meeting young people from other countries. Teachers reported benefits to students’ confidence and international awareness, with one response specifically noting growing confidence in presenting regularly to a group. For staff, meeting teachers from other schools and seeing students flourish were memorable parts of the week.
BEYOND THE SUMMIT
Two places. One shared journey.
Dieppe
The visit began with a ferry crossing to Dieppe. The itinerary included lunch at a crêperie and time to discover the harbour, fishing village and old town before continuing to Le Havre.
Le Havre
Le Havre was the delegation’s base for five days at the youth leadership summit. A week in one place gave the visit a rhythm of shared sessions, school lunches and time with fellow participants.
