From school buddies to international friends.
UK school trip to Shanghai & Jiangsu Province · 2026
Students joined school activities, spent time with Chinese buddies and explored Shanghai and Zhangjiagang. Their feedback describes a warm welcome, new confidence and friendships that continued after the journey home.
Learning about daily life was part of the experience: noticing how school routines differ, trying food and having the chance to learn a little Mandarin.

UK school trip to Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Gwalior · 2026
The India trip brought students into the daily life of SKV, learning alongside local students and building connections with their buddies. Cultural visits added another dimension to the journey.
Students’ reflections highlight curiosity, growing independence and the chance to understand a different school culture. Several remembered their buddies as a particularly welcoming part of the experience.
Another student summed up the qualities they developed as “Curiosity, further independence.”

School delegations travelled to Institution Saint-Joseph for NIYLS, an international youth event bringing students together through shared themes, activities and projects. The visit gave young people opportunities to meet peers from other countries, exchange ideas and take part in an international school community.

From the first conversation to the return home, GSE works with your team and overseas partners to agree the programme and the practical arrangements.
Before departure
Agree your educational aims, partner-school activities and itinerary. Coordinate travel and accommodation, share preparation information and establish who to contact.
During the visit
Programme coordination connects your school with local partners and helps manage day-to-day logistics. The level of in-country support and emergency arrangements are agreed for your trip.
After you return
Reflect on what students learned, share feedback and explore how the school partnership can continue through future visits or online collaboration.
For accompanying staff: exchanges can also open conversations with international colleagues, offer fresh classroom perspectives and strengthen school-to-school relationships.

GSE is listed by the British Accreditation Council as a provider of short-course educational immersion programmes in the UK. This relates to our UK provision; arrangements for each overseas trip are agreed separately with your school.
