ERASMUS+ OPPORTUNITIES
Bring new international opportunities to your school
Your school could receive funding for European learning experiences for students, teachers and school leaders. Join our consortium, and GSE will manage the funding application and administration for you.
WHY IS INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY IMPORTANT?
Confidence through real experience
Students discover another culture, take part in school life with local students and find a real purpose for using languages.
New perspectives for educators
Teachers observe different approaches, share expertise and bring fresh ideas back to their own classrooms.
A wider school community
International relationships connect curriculum learning with the world beyond school and can grow into lasting collaboration.
OUR PROPOSED 2027/28 APPLICATION
Key Action 1 (KA1) activities proposed for our application
Outbound European learning for students, teachers and school leaders, built around our partner-school network.
1. Student trips to Europe
Imagine your students learning alongside their buddies in a partner school, making new friends and discovering how daily life works in another country. A European school immersion gives them a real reason to use languages and a new perspective on their own world.
What could this look like?
A week in Spain: a group of 30 Year 8 students joins a Spanish partner school for one-week, participating in lessons, shared activities and cultural discovery.
A youth conference in Normandy: 10 students spend a week at a young leaders conference, hosted at a French partner school.
These are examples we would like to develop with schools for our application. Final activities, group sizes and funding depend on the agreed learning objectives and successful approval.
INCLUDE A STUDENT EXCHANGE IN OUR PLANS
2. Training opportunities for your staff
Professional learning abroad develops teaching competences, communication and confidence - and can strengthen staff motivation and retention.
“Teacher retention has improved; teachers love to work in a school that provides traveling opportunities for them and the children. Also, we became a more attractive employer, young teachers loved to start their careers with us”
