JOIN OUR PROPOSED
ERASMUS+ CONSORTIUM
More international learning.
Less coordination for your school.
Join the planning process for a shared application of student exchanges and staff development, with GSE taking on the application, programme coordination and reporting.
APPLY TO BECOME PART OF OUR CONSORTIUM
One shared plan, shaped by participating schools
A mobility consortium brings organisations in the same country together around a shared Erasmus Plan. GSE intends to apply to become a UK school mobility consortium coordinator for 2027/28, bringing schools’ needs into a coordinated programme.
Instead of each school having to develop every element alone, our proposed model brings together the funding application, partner relationships, practical coordination and grant reporting. Schools remain involved where their knowledge and responsibility matter most: educational priorities, participants and the school’s own approvals.
GSE’s coordinator status and funding have not yet been secured.
The final model depends on eligibility, accreditation, the relevant call and a successful application.
A CLEAR DIVISION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
What we would take on - and what your school would lead
Before a programme is confirmed, we would agree the precise division of duties, emergency support, safeguarding arrangements and costs in writing. Consortium membership does not transfer a school’s statutory responsibilities.
WHAT WE INTEND TO APPLY FOR
A practical programme for schools
STUDENTS
School trips to Europe
School-based exchanges and joint learning with European partner schools.
STAFF
Professional learning opportunities
Job shadowing, educational conferences, leadership delegations.
PARTNERSHIP BUILDING
Online collaborative projects
Online collaborative projects that prepare students for in-person trips and sustain school relationships.
TAKE THE NEXT STEP
Three steps to become part of our consortium
1
Complete the online form
Allow around 10 minutes to share your school’s priorities, likely participants and mobility ideas. There is no need for a finished programme.
2
Discuss your school’s plans
GSE will bring together responses and follow up about suitable activities, potential partners and the help your school needs.
3
Prepare the school details
Nominate a lead, check your organisation’s existing OID and confirm who can approve participation on behalf of the school or trust.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
We develop the shared plan with schools
We will identify common priorities, discuss potential activities and use that information to develop the proposed application. Taking part in planning does not commit your school to every activity, and no place or funding is guaranteed at this stage.
Read the Erasmus+ FAQs or contact GSE about your school’s circumstances.
